Joana Jacinto, a student at the University of Warwick, won the Bruegel Essay Competition: 2022 Year of Youth with an essay that answered the question: “What should be a priority of the European Union’s economic policy agenda in the coming years?”
At the event, she presented her essay, titled Inverting the pyramid: addressing the depopulation of the EU, received comments from Marion Finke, member of the cabinet of Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for Democracy and Demography and answered questions from the audience.
